The Regional State Track Meet was held today. This is the meet to qualify for the actual state meet...and I'm going! As an alternate of course. I ran for the first time the 800 meter run. I placed 7th overall, but I wish I had started running this race earlier. I didn't know I was good at it and didn't give it a chance until now. So I'm trying to work really hard to get my time down and be better for next year. Overall, the whole team did fantastic.

I'm going to be going to Chicago in the summer for the Nat'l Youth Leadership Forum for medicine. I'll be gone for 10 days and I'm really excited. This is great experience if I want to become and doctor and it's totally worth it because you meet really intelligent, experienced people. I hear you also get to examine cadavers (dead bodies), but I can handle it.

I saw the movie The Namesake and actually was very, very good. I felt like I could relate to the characters in the movie and I suggest everyone who can, should watch it. Although I think it is only playing in select theaters, so it may be hard to find it. But nevertheless, it is a fantastic movie.

I really, really want a job! My parents don't want me working during school because it would compete with my "studies", but I really want one for the summer. The fact that I could earn my own money would make me feel alot more independent. I probably am going to apply at the mall or Best Buy or something like that.

Well, it's been a long time hasn't it? Sorry for the infrequent updates. But December 24th was my sixteenth birthday and as a birthday present my family went on a cruise to Costa Maya, Cozumel, and the Key West. It really was alot of fun and I had a great time!

I haven't gone to school in a week because my state is blanketed in ice! My whole street is covered in it (though it looks like snow) and none of it has even melted. And what's worse is that another ice storm is coming this Saturday, this sounds demented but I want to go back to school because I am too bored just sitting around the house doing nothing. But that does mean I now have time to update this site! =D

Ah! Black Friday my most favorite (or at least on of them) day of the year. I love the day after Thanksgiving because of all the huge sales, most people shop for early Christmas presents, but I usually shop for myself. I had all these gift cards so everything was practically free! I got these really, really cute pair of skinny jeans from The Gap and some other stuff too, including this Japanese Cherry Blossom lotion. It smells so great, I love it! Also there was a bunch of DVDs (really good ones) on sale so my dad bought like 10, including Memoirs of A Geisha. I absolutely love that movie. *sigh*

So the NHS officers need to get together to plan/organize meetings and activities for the year, but we've had to push our officer meeting back 2 times because two of our officers were going to be gone. I don't know why but I'm really excited for NHS this year. Being an officer really feels important.

I took the PSAT yesterday, but since I am a sophmore it doesn't count for National Merit, I just took it for practice for junior year. It was annoying because they scheduled the exam the first day of fall break, and I had to be up at the school earlier than I would be on a school day. 7:30 am! I was very, very tired, but I did the best that I could at the time. I probably should have studied more.

While still on the topic of schools, I now have an office. I am Vice-President of Projects for National Honor Society. I had to turn in an application and then the members of NHS voted. I was really happy, but I need to come up with ideas. Basically what I do is I have to come up with join-projects with other clubs and come up with service activites for members.

Fall break is here! I now have alot of time to work on computer stuff, like I should have been. But everyone knows the standard excuse: school.

New layout...yes I know...it features Sailor Moon yet again. I can't cure my love for the show, or the manga. This layout has a smaller space, and I like it that way.

School starts tomorrow! I am really nervous, 10th grade can you believe it? I am taking all Honors classes so I am going to have no life whatsoever. My US History AP class is supposed to be really tough, apparently you're lucky to even get a B in that class, but I can't get a B! That also means National Honor Society is coming up too. Well, it has been a great summer.

We are going to be timed on the mile this Saturday for cross-country, I hope I am faster than I was last year. Last year I ran the mile in 6 minutes and 50 seconds.

Later today I am going shopping again! For more clothes. I ordered a Dooney & Bourke lunch bag a few days ago, I am hoping it will come in soon. Yes, I am going to eat lunch in style.
